gallery Maybird Gulch

We may have been out until 11 PM the night before. We may have had a horrible dinner too. We may have wanted to just sleep in and not do anything today, but we promised each other to do this hike this week. No excuses. We woke up our normal time and just got to it. How many times have we hiked up Red Pine lake and seen that bridge 2-miles into the hike and wondered, where does that trail go? Well today instead of hiking to Red Pine Lake, we took that bridge and had ourselves an adventure. We can now say all three hikes from this trailhead are fabulous: white pine, red pine, and now maybird gulch. Lovely trails, each a little different. White pine is long. Red pine is steep. Maybird gulch is like Goldilocks in this story…just perfect.  By the by, can you find the 4 mountain goats?
