gallery Natural Bridge and Petroglyphs

Capitol Reef National Park is not very big, so you have to get out of your car and just hike around to really see everything. After our scenic drive, we went to explore the Hickman Bridge and Petroglyph Panels. The cottonwood trees were just perfect autumn yellow along the Fremont River. We had planned to do some fly fishing, but the river was too muddy to be able to fish. Sad. We were hoping to catch some killer Brown Trout. Ryan was particularly excited about the petroglyphs and that was the only “planned” stop for our day and the last stop for the day before we headed back to the log cabin and made dinner.
