Mega storm rolled through Utah this weekend. It brought with it now only tornadoes, but a ton of snow to the mountains. The ski resorts and higher elevations got 12+ inches! Amazing. No surprise, we drove up to Teapot Lake, because we thought the fishing was going to be super awesome and we’d be able to fish in the snow. The snow was awesome. Seeing the fall colors at their peak with snow everywhere is just the best! However, the fishing was the absolute worst we’ve ever had. There was fish, big fish everywhere. We saw several large schools of rainbows just trolling around. Fish were rising and jumping, but took absolutely no interest in our lures. We tried spinners, spoons, flies, you name it. I really wish I could earn a living studying fish eating behavior.
